Questions Regarding Implants

How Do I Care For My Implants?

Implants are made to be permanent. But in order for them to last a lifetime they need to be cared for properly. Otherwise they may need to be replaced. To avoid replacement you should:

Brush implants at least twice a day
Floss implants at least once a day
Attend routine professional cleanings

Are There Any Alternative Treatments?

If you’re not sure dental implants are right for you, you can discuss the possibility of a fixed or removable bridge.

Questions Regarding Veneers

How Long Does the Veneer Process Take?

The veneer process typically requires two visits. On the first visit, your teeth are prepared by taking an impression of your teeth, and determine the best color shade. On the second visit, your teeth are cleaned and bonded to the veneer.

How Do I Clean My Veneer?

In general, cleaning your veneers is the same as cleaning your natural teeth. You will be required to brush at least twice a day and floss once a day. The dentist will also give you thorough instructions to care for your veneers once the process is complete.

Do I Need To Avoid Certain Foods?

You can still eat what you like. However you will need to be careful of certain foods like candy, caramel, and tough meat because they can cause the veneers to loosen.

Questions Regarding Bridges

How Do You Decide Which Material To Use?

There are several bridge materials to choose from in order to match your tooth color. We choose the material depending on your requirements for strength, wear, and/or aesthetics.

How Long Do Bridges Last?

If maintained properly, a bridge can last 15 years.

What Do I Do If A Bridge Comes Out?

If a bridge comes out, please call 304-343-8805 and we will make you an appointment to fix the issue.

Questions Regarding Cosmetic Procedures/Orthodontics

Is Botox FDA Approved?

Yes. Botox, along with Dysport, Juvéderm, and restylane are approved by the FDA. Our doctors are also all highly trained in each procedure.

Should I Whiten My Teeth At Home Or In The Office?

If you are looking for immediate results, your best option is to whiten your teeth in the office.

For an at-home whitening option, our custom whitening trays are an excellent choice.

Does Invisalign Work Like Traditional Braces?

Yes. Invisalign works very similar to traditional metal braces. They slowly straighten your teeth. The biggest difference is that they are virtually invisible and removable.
